Proven innovative leader with a strong record of
success managing teams and getting things done faster

Experience you can trust

Gwen is an innovative business leader with a deep record of success managing teams and getting things done, faster. She works across an organization to generate outstanding performance, inspire engagement, and create a culture of accountability.

With over 30 years of business experience, she has worked for small and large companies across the country, and owned her own small business. She is a subject matter expert in supply chain cost efficiency and has spent most of her career in healthcare procurement optimization and food service distribution management.

Gwen grew up in Iowa, spending many summers on her grandparent’s farm and when she was older, working on farms and in a bicycle shop. She was a nationally ranked cyclist and a resident athlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Gwen graduated with honors from Iowa State University.

Gwen has called the Hudson Valley home for almost a decade of her life, and was previously an adjunct instructor of nutrition at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. She is the proud mother of two children and two stepchildren, all grown and living across the U.S.

Raising her children for ten years as a single mother, Gwen understands what it is like to struggle with reliable and affordable childcare, feeding kids a good meal at the end of the day and balancing these demands with work.

Here to serve you

I am Gwen Dougherty, and I am running for election to the Patterson Town Council. I promise to bring the same positive, can-do energy and creative problem solving that I’ve applied to challenges and opportunities during my career and life, to represent and serve you, my fellow Patterson residents.

I am on both the Democratic line (Row A of the ballot) and on the Independent Voter line.

I am running for Patterson Town Council because I believe that we need to attract more local businesses and create local job opportunities that let people build their futures’ here. I’m running because Patterson deserves leadership that listens, puts residents first, and gets things done.

I have over 30 years of business experience and an expertise in food and healthcare supply chain cost efficiency with a focus on getting things done easier and faster. I’ve been responsible for large and small budgets. I know how to work hand-in-hand with those around me to create project plans, pitch for funding of projects and execute, bringing about results.

Please vote for me so I can help revitalize Front Street, support smart development, and find lasting solutions for Putnam Lake, turning our town’s potential into reality.
